Having been a journalist and a Navy Commander, Ian Fleming went on to great success with James Bond, writing twelve novels and nine short stories before his death in 1964. Additionally, Fleming also wrote children’s book Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and two non-fiction books The Diamond Smugglers and Thrilling Cities. James Lawrence began his career scripting training films for the US Armed Forces before moving on to writing Bond, Buck Rogers and Joe Palooka. Yaroslav Horak has worked on comics like the outback adventure strip Mike Steele, Captain Fortune, Andrea, Cop Shop and Sergeant Pat of the Radio Patrol, in addition to creating The Mask and Jet Fury. He illustrated all the James Bond stories except Casino Royale.

“It’s a grittier, more cold-hearted Bond, closer in spirit to the novels than the hi-jinks of the cinema, but Yaroslav Horak’s stylishly scratchy art melds glamour with action for a refreshingly unconventional take on a familiar icon.” – SFX Magazine

“A cracking graphic novel.” – Total Film

“Unmissable stuff.” – Crime Time

“As always the stark black and white artwork summons up echoes of classic noir, all sensual shadows, glaring spotlights, gleaming gun barrels and provocative flesh.” – Movie Insider
