Darth Vader, Darth Maul, Darth Sidious...Lords of the Sith, lethal exponents of the Dark Side of the force. But before them came others.

Ten years have passed since the devastating Sith War which turned Jedi against Jedi and Exar Kun, the self-proclaimed Dark Lord of the Sith, is dead and buried. But his lieutenant, Ulic Qel-Droma, lives on, disgraced and stripped of his Jedi powers. Now he lives in isolation; a Jedi, and yet no longer a Jedi. Galactic politics have no meaning any more for Ulic, his exile complete, but the past - in particular those hungry for revenge - is about to catch up with him...

The age of the Old Republic begins! Thousands of years ago the galaxy was at peace. The Jedi Knights brought their wisdom to millions but dark times lay ahead and a powerful evil soon emerged to cause ultimate devastation to the innocent. Exploring the rich, epic history of the Star Wars universe these are just some of the stories from long ago. These are times before the Empire and the Rebel Alliance, a time when the Jedi Order were most sensitive to the ways of the Force in an age of innocence. This volume collects issues 1-5 of series Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi – Redemption and is brought to life by a group of talented writer and artists including Kevin J. Anderson, Chris Gossett and Andrew Pepoy. This volume also features the original and new comic art covers by Igor Kordey and Alexander McDaniel.

Nearly four millennia before the birth of Luke Skywalker this story Tales of the Jedi – Redemption concludes stories set around the Golden Age of the Jedi and Sith. The trials of the Jedi during those early years were difficult. Peace could not last forever and complacency is what ultimately brought the terrible wars. It has been a number of years since the Sith War, in which the corrupt Exar Kun gathered an army to destroy not only the Jedi but the entire Republic. Exar was killed but many lives were lost. No one feels more guilt for what happened than Ulic Qel-Droma. Consumed by the power of the Dark Side he betrayed his friends and killed his brother Cay. Disgraced and stripped of the Force Qel-Droma has retreated into a life of solitude. There are those though who are willing to forgive him. Nomi Sunrider’s daughter Vima makes a journey to Ulic Qel-Droma on a quest to offer him redemption, not realizing her mother has put out a search party for her. Unfortunately, there are some who cannot so easily forgive the past and soon Qel-Droma comes face-to-face with a Jedi out for revenge who will not be happy until he is dead! An exciting, epic adventure that that will both shock and delight you in equal measure with a story that any serious Star Wars fan or collector cannot afford to miss. May the Force be with you!
