Expertly drawn and highly detailed, James Bond’s adventures are a nostalgic trip into the characters past and world. This volume features a special introduction by James Bond actress Eunice Gayson (Sylvia Trench), an article on the literary history of James Bond post-Ian Fleming, a feature exploring espionage, a story checklist, a feature examining the differences between the Bond books, comics and films, articles looking at adapting the stories from novel to comic strip and two bonus stories Diamonds Are Forever and From Russia With Love!

In Dr. No James Bond is sent to investigate the disappearance of two M15 agents in Jamaica but Bond already has his hands full dealing with a mysterious assailant who repeatedly tries to dispatch our hero using everything from poisoned nectarines to killer centipedes. Could these unprovoked attacks be linked to the island of Crab Key, owned by the suspicious Doctor No? Bond isn’t sure but what he is sure of is that his troubles have only just begun. Along with stories Diamonds Are Forever and From Russia With Love this is another collection filled with exciting, action-packed adventures that will leave every fan and newcomer shaken but not stirred!

Having been a journalist and a Navy Commander, Ian Fleming went on to great success with James Bond, writing twelve novels and nine short stories before his death in 1964. Additionally, Fleming also wrote children’s book Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and two non-fiction books The Diamond Smugglers and Thrilling Cities. Henry Gammidge worked with artist John McLusky and together they both adapted eleven of Ian Fleming’s James Bond novels. John McLusky started his career as a Second World War artist for Bomber Command. Apart from his Bond adaptations he also worked on comic strips Look and Learn, Laurel & Hardy and the Pink Panther. Writer Peter O’Donnell is best known as the creator of Modesty Blaise but he was also a historical romance novelist under the pseudonym Madeleine Brent.

“Another deathlessly cool collection of Bond’s ‘60s newspaper capers.” – SFX

“offers a more ruthless, undiluted interpretation of 007, and is a must for Bond aficionados.” –Matt Adams

“writer and artist not only pull off with consummate ease the difficult trick of keeping the story in the air in a daily series of two- and three- panel strips, but also maintain tension and action, and supply plenty of shocks, glamorous locations, and, of course, beautiful women.” – Paul McAuley
